Genie Elevated Work Platforms Genie began in 1966 with the introduction of the Genie® Hoist, a portable, pneumatic material lift. Genie quickly gained worldwide recognition with additional material lifts and a series of elevated work platforms, each one representing a breakthrough in product design. Today, as part of Terex Corporation, Genie receives inspiration for product design from constant interaction with its customers.
Our innovative designs and reliable products have made Genie a world leader in the production of material lifts, portable aerial work platforms, scissors lifts, self propelled telescopic and articulating booms. The Terex® range includes excavators, light towers and generators. These products are mainly sold to the rental construction, mining and material handling industries.
Genie has been operating in Australia for over 10 years and has grown considerably during that time. During 2008, the Genie head office moved into a new facility in Brisbane which provides more space for Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), service work and a considerably larger space for spare parts storage. The new facility also has a state of the art training centre ideal for training on all Genie® and Terex® equipment.
Genie has regional branches located in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Our extensive Genie and Terex dealer network provides sales and aftermarket support throughout Australasia and the South Pacific regions.
JLG Elevated Work Platforms
More than 30 years ago John L Grove saw the need for people to work safely and productively up in the air. The telescopic boom lift he invented started a company (JLG) – and an industry.
JLG Industries is the Australian market leader in the supply of access equipment, with a wide range of mobile aerial work platforms and specialised material handling equipment renowned for its quality, performance and innovation. The strength, carrying capacity, versatility and safety of JLG stock pickers, vertical mast lifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, lighting towers and telehandlers has made them the first choice of hire and rental companies and contractors for more than 20 years.
Since 1970 JLG Australia’s parent company, JLG Industries Inc has been a global innovator in the design and production of aerial work platforms. It has researched market requirements and developed equipment that meets and exceeds occupational health and safety requirements.
From a small metal fabrication business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania JLG Industries Inc has grown to become the world’s leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of access equipment. JLG began Australian manufacture and sales in 1983, quickly becoming the dominant market force here by supplying innovative products backed by excellent service and parts support.
It’s all part of the commitment to the Australian market which has made JLG the number one brand of choice for access equipment since the day it sold its first unit here.
